Penguins Military Tickets - For the third consecutive season, 84 Lumber has been named the presenting partner of the Pittsburgh Penguins Military Appreciation Game, which will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 7:00 pm against the Seattle Kraken.
Penguin and 84 Lumber work together for the Military Appreciation Game and several other initiatives to celebrate those who fought and continue to fight for our freedom every day.

84 Lumber will be giving away 1,000 tickets to local military and veterans to attend the Military Appreciation Game or the Penguins vs. Toronto Maple Leafs game on November 15th. Soldiers interested in participating can get tickets here and winners will be notified on November 1st. In addition, every military member or veteran is entitled to a special ticket discount for the game. To avail, those eligible can visit here to register for a GovX account and purchase tickets.
On November 5th, the Penguins will take to the ice for pre-game warm-ups in custom-made military jerseys and Military Appreciation warm-up packs to honor those who have served and continue to serve our country. This season, two local hockey organizations that support the military community, the Pittsburgh Warriors and the Johnstown Generals, will be honored with special jerseys worn by Penguins players during pregame warmups. The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation supports the Pittsburgh Warriors in establishing the first hockey league for disabled veterans in the United States. Games will be played at the Hunt Armory beginning in mid-November.
Jerseys, pucks and other autographed memorabilia will be auctioned from November 5th to 11th. Proceeds from the auction, hosted by the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, will benefit the Friends of the Pittsburgh Fisher House, the Pittsburgh Warriors and the Johnstown Generals. Penguin and 84 Lumber are also launching their "Home for a Hero" campaign, where individuals can nominate worthy and deserving local veterans for a chance to win $50,000 toward home renovations. Nominations can be submitted here and the offer ends on April 1st. The winner will be notified on or about Memorial Day 2023 as part of the 84th Wood Operation Appreciation System during Military Appreciation Month in May. The Johnstown Generals is an ice hockey team with members from multiple branches of the United States Army. An extended sense of brotherhood helps team members transition from the battlefield to civilian life, using hockey to aid the process.
The Fisher House Foundation builds comfortable homes where military and veteran families can stay for free while a loved one is in the hospital. These homes are located at military and VA medical facilities around the world.

Military Salute is an initiative of our President of Hockey Operations, Brian Burke, to honor current military and veterans. The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation works with a different military organization each month to select recipients. After the recipient is selected, they are given the opportunity to attend a Pittsburgh Penguins game and receive an in-game tribute.
